Retail Store Assistant (with Keyholder Responsibility)
£12.21 per hour plus benefits

Hours: Sundays only, 6 hours
Location: Banstead

Role overview: We’re seeking a motivated retail assistant to join our trading team, acting as an ambassador for Cancer Research UK and taking responsibility for the shop on Sundays.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Overseeing shop operations on Sundays, including keyholder responsibilities (training provided) and supporting volunteers.
2. Assisting in achieving sales and fundraising targets.
3. Reviewing and processing donated goods and stock.
4. Generating creative ideas to increase income, with guidance from the Shop Manager.
5. Providing excellent customer service to ensure supporters feel welcome and appreciated.
6. Maintaining shop standards on safeguarding, compliance, and health and safety.
7. Performing manual handling and physical activities as part of daily duties.
Candidate requirements:
* Knowledge of excellent customer service.
* Experience working in a lively environment.
* Adaptability to changing situations and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Commercial awareness.
* Good relationship-building and communication skills.
* Flexibility to work on a rota basis, understanding the importance of work-life balance.
