Assistant Chef Manager, Leek, ST13 5SP

What you'll do
* Working as part of the kitchen team under the Chef Manager.
* Deputise for the chef manager in their absence.
* Monitor portion control and minimise waste to support cost targets.
* Assist in menu planning and continuous improvement of the food offer.
* Work collaboratively with the wider team to deliver a smooth and efficient service.
* Operate in a busy corporate catering environment with varying demand.
* Maintain food quality and consistency during peak service times.
* Assist with ordering and stock management to avoid shortages or waste.
* Ensure full compliance with food safety and Sodexo standards.
* Contribute to a positive and innovative kitchen culture.
What you'll bring
Essential:
* Level 2 Food Hygiene
* Previous experience as a Chef or Cook in a similar environment.
* Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good organisational and time management skills.
* Knowledge of stock ordering and cost control.
Desirable:
* Experience in contract catering or corporate environments.
* Level 3 Food Hygiene
