HGV & Plant Technician – Midlands
1. Salary: Up to £42,000 DOE
2. Working Hours: 40 hours per week (flexible shift schedules available)
Our client is seeking an experienced HGV and Plant Technician to join their award-winning team. This role involves maintaining and repairing plant machinery and heavy goods vehicles, ensuring quality, compliance, and reliability for customers.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
3. Perform repairs and maintenance on plant machinery, HGVs, trailers, and other vehicles.
4. Conduct PDI works and attachment setups on plant machinery.
5. Mobile repairs and maintenance of plant machinery.
6. Inspect and perform preventive maintenance services.
7. Maintain cleanliness and organization in service vehicles.
8. Work closely with other departments to deliver a high-quality service.
9. Diagnose issues and plan repair work collaboratively.
10. Maintain accurate records of repairs and handle warranty claims.
11. Provide in-house training to recruits and trainees when required.
12. Ensure health and safety standards are upheld in all tasks.
Skills & Behaviors needed for this Plant & HGV Technician:
13. Qualifications: Level 3 in HGV and Plant Machinery Repair and Maintenance (NVQ, City & Guilds, or IMI). Must hold a full UK driving license for relevant vehicle classes.
14. Attention to Detail: Diagnosing and conducting precise repairs to meet safety and performance standards.
15. Time Management: Prioritizing tasks efficiently to meet demands.
16. Resilience: Ability to adapt and remain effective under challenging circumstances.
