Job Title: School Site Supervisor
Location: Burnley, Lancashire
Hours: Able to be flexible around the needs of school but will involve opening and closing school
Salary: £13.75 - £14.50 per hour
Responsibilities: As a School Site Supervisor, your key responsibilities will include:
1.Security and Safety: Monitor and maintain the security of the school premises, including locking and unlocking gates and buildings. Implement and oversee safety procedures and protocols.
2.Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections of the school site, identifying and addressing maintenance and repair needs. Coordinate and oversee maintenance tasks, such as repairs, painting, and general upkeep.
3.Cleaning: Supervise and support the cleaning staff in maintaining a clean and hygienic environment throughout the school, including classrooms, common areas, and restrooms.
4.Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including the safe storage of equipment and chemicals. Act as the main point of contact for health and safety matters.
5.Event Support: Assist in setting up and organizing school events, meetings, and activities, including arranging furniture and equipment as needed.
6.Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report any issues or concerns to the school management promptly.
7.Vendor Management: Liaise with external contractors and service providers for maintenance and repair work, ensuring quality service delivery.
Requirements: To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications and skills:
1. Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in an educational setting.
2. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
3. Excellent communication skills to interact with staff, students, and contractors.
4. Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Flexibility to respond to emergencies outside of regular working hours if required.
