We are working as the internal recruitment partner for our client, a pioneering VC-backed, UK based robotics software start-up dedicated to transforming how developers and businesses bring robotics to life.
Our SDK makes robot programming simpler, unlocking new possibilities for OEMs, developers, and innovators. Now, they are looking to add a Business Development Manager who can take them to the next level.
Responsibilities:
* Owning and delivering the business development strategy - identifying new opportunities and driving revenue growth
* Building strategic partnerships with software developers, OEM, integrators, and industry leaders
* Selling to robot manufacturers, resellers, and end-users - particularly companies with software developers who could leverage the platform
* Targeting Head of Innovation, CTOs, and key decision-makers in robotics, technology, and automation
* Managing the entire sales cycle - from lead generation to closing deals and account growth
* Representing the company at conferences, trade shows, and networking events
* Working closely with marketing and technical teams to ensure we're positioned as the go-to robotics software platform
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
* Experience selling software licences to software developers
* 5+ years in business development or sales (preferably in tech, robotics, or automation)
* Experience negotiating and closing complex B2B deals with OEMs and enterprise clients
* Proven track record of building and managing strategic partnerships
* Commercially sharp - balancing growth strategy with revenue targets
* Strong communicator - comfortable presenting to C-level execs and technical stakeholders
* Someone pragmatic, ambitious, and local to Sheffield
In return we are offering:
* A highly competitive salary up to £60,000 plus commission with a realistic £100,000 OTE
