Job Description
We are currently seeking a Transport Planner to join our Transport Team for our Consumer Beverage sector at our Wentworth Park site. As a Transport Planner you will contribute to the success of the transport team, overseeing the day‑to‑day planning function of the transport operation. A highly motivated and driven individual, you will have experience working in a quick and fast‑paced environment and be able to deal with day‑to‑day challenges in providing an effective transport plan.
Working hours: 4 on 4 off days 06:00 - 18:00
Key Duties of a Transport Planner
* Work with Transport and Warehouse teams to create an efficient transport plan using the latest TMS.
* Assemble 400+ consolidated orders into loads every 24 hours.
* Subcontract and plan orders from multiple warehouse facilities and manufacturing sites across the UK.
* Plan the daily workload of fleet: vehicles based on site and outbases.
* Report problems and deal with issues and any queries that may arise.
* Plan approximately 100 collections per day on a time‑critical basis.
* Maintain and exceed agreed KPI’s.
* Proactively look for continuous improvements.
* Make decisions under pressure and to a tight timescale.
* Have a flexible and adaptable approach to working to meet the requirements of the business, particularly at peak periods during the year.
* Utilise the Culina Group network efficiently in support of Warrens when volumes dictate.
Qualifications
* Good geographical knowledge of the UK.
* Proficient computer literacy including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
* Experience planning units across multiple depots.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to succeed in a pressurised environment.
* Customer focus on delivery performance.
* Commercially and financially astute, driven to deliver exceptional results.
* Experience using a TMS system.
* Experience in an FMCG environment.
* Strong analytical and Excel capability across standard formulas.
