The successful candidate will be joining a dedicated and approachable group of colleagues who work closely together to support one another and provide high-quality care to more than 11,000 patients in the local area. Regular support is built into the role, including bi-weekly meetings with the clinical lead, ensuring you always feel part of a connected and valued team.
Main Duties of the Role
* Deliver high-quality patient care.
* Undertake treatment room work, including chronic disease management (particularly asthma and COPD), immunisations, screening, and health promotion.
* Contribute to setting and auditing standards of care.
* Support the maintenance of a safe, therapeutic, and patient-focused environment.
* Assist in developing and delivering health promotion programmes and screening clinics.
* Ensure safe storage and administration of medicines and clinical equipment.
* Provide advice and support to patients in person and via telephone.
* Actively participate in team discussions to ensure best practice is maintained.
About You
* Registered General Nurse with current NMC registration.
* Demonstrates evidence of continuing professional development.
* Experienced in primary care.
* Able to adapt to a changing healthcare environment and implement improvements.
* Strong clinical decision-making and critical thinking skills.
* Awareness of local and national health policy.
* Confident with IT systems (EmisWeb experience desirable) and basic use of Word, Excel, and email.
* Highly motivated, flexible, and committed to delivering excellent care.
Requirements
* Current UK NMC registration.
* Primary care experience is essential.
* Evidence of continuing professional development.
Desirable
* Qualifications in asthma and COPD care.
* Independent Nurse Prescriber.
