We are currently recruiting for a Decontamination Assistant to take ownership of daily organisation of the decontamination room. The successful applicant should have great attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure efficient sterilization of instruments and equipment. Previous experience in sterile room enviroments would be beneficial. Full training given.
Duties:
* Ensure decontamination room hygiene and infection control processes are adhered to in line with current guidance HTM01-05, ensuring the decontamination process is followed.
* Responsibility for cleaning and sterilising dental equipment.
* Regularly checking stock levels of materials required for the decontamination process.
* Maintain practice equipment in line with the manufacturer's instructions.
* Be actively involved in the smooth running of the practice by working well with your clinical team.
* Ensure excellent practice regulatory compliance and clinical standards in line with relevant regulation and guidance
* Ensure all validation documentation is completed and reviewed for the decontamination process
* Comply with health and safety policy and all relevant risk assessments including the use of sharps, CoSHH assessments and wearing correct personal protective.
