Your Impact
We are seeking a Visualisation Technical Lead to guide the delivery and evolution of our data visualisation products. You will combines leadership in technical design and development with ownership of end-to-end product lifecycle management. You will be the principal authority on visualisation technologies and solutions, ensuring we deliver high-impact, scalable, and future-ready data products.
Product Delivery Ownership
1. Lead the design, build, testing, deployment, and maintenance of data visualisation products.
2. Ensure robust, secure, performant, and user-centric delivery of visualisation solutions.
3. Oversee operational stability and continuous improvement of products in production.
Technical Leadership
4. Serve as the division's technical authority for data visualisation tools and practices.
5. Define and uphold best practices for visualisation solution design, coding, testing, and deployment within the boundaries of the enterprise data architecture
6. Mentor and support development teams working on visualisation components.
7. Act as an intelligent customer to enterprise IT, clearly articulating the team’s technical needs and roadmap priorities to influence data platform and infrastructure decisions.
Innovation & Technology Strategy
8. Track and evaluate emerging technologies in the visualisation space.
9. Lead the adoption of next-generation visualisation techniques and tools.
10. Stay aligned with IT on platform developments, ensuring visualisation needs are anticipated and supported by enterprise data infrastructure.
Product Lifecycle Management
11. Own the lifecycle of visualisation products, including upgrades, migrations, and retirements.
12. Coordinate cross-product enhancements to ensure alignment with evolving organisational needs.
13. Develop deprecation plans for legacy tools and drive transition to newer platforms.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
14. Work closely with product managers, analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to align product delivery with business priorities.
15. Be consulted on pipeline planning, ensuring efficient and strategic product development sequencing.
16. Communicate technical decisions and product health to leadership and cross-functional teams
17. Collaborate proactively with IT as a key stakeholder in the delivery of data capabilities that underpin product success.
What you'll bring
18. Proven experience leading technical delivery of data visualisation products in a complex environment.
19. Expertise in PowerBI, Talend, SAP and Azure
20. Strong background in software development practices including CI/CD, testing, and deployment automation.
21. Experience working effectively with enterprise IT teams and influencing shared platform decisions.
22. Strong understanding of product lifecycle management in a technical context.
23. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
24. Passion for staying at the forefront of visualisation trends and innovations.
25. Experience with Agile delivery methodologies.
