Our customer are a well established and growing FM Service provider, operating in both the UK and Europe, who seek a Contract / Operations Manager to join the team delivering M and E services one of their long:held accounts in Central London, close to Oxford Street. This organisation are responsible for planned and reactive maintenance to electrical, mechanical and general building services systems within this building, man:management of a team of multi:skilled engineers, support staff as well as liaison with specialist contractors to deliver a 5* service. Guideline salary for this position is GBP 65:68,000, while package comprises of a car allowance ( GBP 5,000) as well as standard benefits such as pension, healthcare, etc.
Day:to:day duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Responsible and full accountability for operational service delivery, financial management (P and L), people management, compliance and risk management
- Delivery of contractual commitments and monthly, quarterly and annual reporting to the client
- Delivery of internal monthly reporting and presenting to senior stakeholders
- Evaluate applicable proposals and required changes to services identifying financial, personnel and operational performance implication and improvements
- Responsible for contract strategic alignment and development, exploiting and securing all opportunities to deliver increased turnover and profitability
- Ensure succession planning arrangements are in place
- Ensuring business policies and processes are effectively communicated and implemented within the contract, with a key focus on QHSE, statutory legislation, Health and Wellbeing and DE and I
- Engages executive involvement as needed to leverage the broader Business to introduce new scope and business pricing, as part of delivering an integrated set of services
- Direct management and engagement of preferred/approved supply chain
- Sets and supports the overall strategic vision and delivers best in class operational service to help enhance the workplace experience
- Delivering complex projects and ensuring successful delivery
- Risk management : identify risk and adopt appropriate mitigation measures
- Compliance management : ensuring all activities comply with current statutory legislation
While candidates do not need to be qualified in an engineering it is preferable, and any interested parties must have a demonstrable history of delivering M and E maintenance or TFM contracts within a commercial / corporate services environment.
Person Specification
- Experience as an operational and serviced focus leader, in a similar role
- Possess solid understanding of contract commercials
- Be innovative and have proven capabilities to develop and grow contracts / portfolio
- Experience at interfacing at all levels throughout an organisation
- Able to command credibility and can influence a broad range of stakeholders
- High level of personal credibility, customer relationship management, networking and interpersonal skills
- Proven change management experience in the development and implementation of strategic plans
- Exceptional collaboration and community building skills
- Understanding of contracts and commercial models in the market
- Understanding of Industry knowledge and trends
This is a well:known and long established account, which this organisation have run the M and E services for circa ten years. A fast:paced environment, it requires working alongside the account manager in order to liaise with on:site customer, and will suit a focused and articulate individual who can deliver a strong service, be reachable and accountable with regular meetings, and drive positive culture for the site:based team.
