Responsibilities

As one of our European Sales Managers, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth across European markets. You’ll be responsible for executing strategic sales plans, building strong relationships with distributors and key clients, and identifying new business opportunities.


Key Responsibilities

* Drive revenue growth by identifying and developing new business opportunities.
* Build and manage relationships with distributors, OEMs, and end-users.
* Conduct market analysis and provide insights to support strategic decisions.
* Represent Motortronics at international trade shows and client meetings (60% travel expected).
* Maintain accurate CRM records and prepare regular sales reports.
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and operational excellence.


Job Specification

This position has the responsibility of establishing and increasing market penetration to deliver incremental sales at Distributors, OEMs and End-users. The successful candidate will also need to establish close relationships with key sector influencers from across opinion leaders, policy makers, engineering design & approval at major accounts and influencing bodies.

* Assist in the development, implementation and delivery of both long and short-term market plans with the Senior International Sales Manager to fulfil the sales team strategic objectives.
* Participate in the execution and future developments of the Motortronics Sales Strategy.
* Identify and develop sales opportunities in relation to specific end-users, distributors, consultants and industrial automation OEMs.
* Provide market analysis and product trends for the industry segment to the Senior International Sales Manager.
* Recommend tactical adjustments to the overall planned objectives regarding product, pricing and coordination of international sales.
* Development and implementation of a territory plan to ensure the sales budget objectives are attained and that the sales turnover trend analysis is continually produced and monitored.
* Maintain a thorough knowledge of competitive activity in products, programs and pricing through regular reports to appropriate personnel within the team.
* As a working member of the sales team, actively input/output ideas, in order to better position Motortronics in global markets.
* Maintain a thorough knowledge of MV & LV motor control products along with competitive activity in products, pricing through regular communication with the team.
* Maintain a world class level of customer response and support, working closely with sales administration and quality/service return personnel.

Sales & Business Development Experience

* Proven international sales experience with a track record of winning new business and achieving year-on-year growth.
* Experience selling technical products.
* Strong business acumen to understand industry trends and the commercial aspects of the business as part of a strategic selling approach.
* Appointing and managing stocking distributors.


Customer Engagement & Relationship Management

* A strong customer service focus: understanding needs, building trust, and always ensuring satisfaction.
* Ability to build rapport, manage relationships, and work effectively with both clients and colleagues.
* A proactive approach to solving problems for clients.
* Persuasion and negotiation skills.
* A confident and trustworthy demeanour to build credibility with customers.
* The capacity to listen actively to understand customer needs.


Communication & Presentation Skills

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong interpersonal and presentation abilities, including product demonstrations and consultative selling.


Personal Attributes

* Self-motivated and driven.
* Ability to work independently and take initiative.
* Good organisational and time management skills.
* Customer service-oriented approach.


Operational & Technical Competence

* Competence with IT systems, CRM tools, and office software.
* Willingness to undertake extensive international travel across the region it is expected you will be travelling for 60% of your time.
* Attendance at trade shows where the company exhibits.


Bonus Skills (Desirable but Not Essential)

While not required, the following skills would be advantageous and help you thrive in this role:

* A background in electrical engineering or a strong technical understanding of motor control systems.
* Familiarity with soft starters and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
* Proficiency in multiple languages to support communication across diverse European markets.

Salary - Competitive, based on experience + car allowance (depending on location)
