I’ve been retained exclusively to recruit a new product team for a tech-first business that specialise in managing investments for hedge funds, VC enterprises and private equity firms. They are insistent on working at the sharp edge of technology and will be bringing in 10-15 new tech hires over the next quarter. You will be working hybrid in this role, with 2-3 days from their newly refurbished offices in Central Bournemouth, onmuting lines to London and 2 minutes from the Beach.
Your new role
1. Will be to manage group of 3+ Support Engineers.
2. Daily health checks of environments, health monitoring.
3. Extract required information from these sources to make correct decisions about mapping accounts to different financial entities (PB/ISDA/Futures/etc.)
4. Deal with support issues via Zendesk, assign tickets to support engineers.
5. Maintaining a knowledge base, transferring knowledge amongst team members.
6. Issues troubleshooting with application.
7. Submit bug reports from production environments.
8. Conduct interviews for potential candidates.
9. Conduct quarterly/yearly performance reviews for services personnel.
10. Establish the process of Dev team involvement with upgrades.
What you'll need to succeed
11. Writing and manipulating SQL scripts
12. Procedures, any t-sql scripts, profiling, debugging
13. Exceptional knowledge of MS SQL server administration (backups, maintenance)
14. Experience in supporting .Net and web-based applications
15. Experience in supporting Financial applications
16. Experience with Zendesk and Jira
17. Experience with writing user manuals and wiki articles
18. Experience with GIT, understanding of Git Flow
19. Experience with TFS
20. Experience with Teamcity
21. Experience with Octopus
22. Ability to read/write RegEx
23. Writing and enhancing shell scripts
