The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining high hygiene and cleanliness standards across the site to ensure compliance with feed safety regulations and to support efficient production operations. Key Responsibilities of a Hygiene Operative: Carry out scheduled cleaning of production areas, machinery, and equipment within the feed mill. Perform deep-cleaning tasks using industrial cleaning tools and chemicals in line with safety procedures. Ensure all work areas, including floors, walkways, and storage areas, are kept clean and free from contamination. Safely handle and dispose of waste materials in accordance with site procedures. Assist with hygiene checks and documentation to meet internal and external audit requirements. Follow all health and safety policies, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Support production teams when required while maintaining hygiene standards. Requirements of a Hygiene Operative: Previous cleaning or hygiene experience in a manufacturing, food, or agricultural environment is desirable but not essential (full training provided). Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good attention to detail and strong work ethic. Willingness to work in a dusty industrial environment. Awareness of health and safety practices.
