We have a new requirement for a ROV Project Engineer - Contractor within our Bridge of Don, Aberdeen Office. The primary purpose is to support the project manager and coordinate with the client and vendor’s respecting processes & protocols, responsible for deliverables within the defined schedule, including the preparation, writing, and updating of documentation.

* Start Date: To be agreed with the successful candidate; with a preference for an immediate start.
* Contract Type/Duration: PAYE Contractor, Temporary Ongoing, Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Temporary ongoing (With Potential of becoming Permanent)
* Salary/Rate: Please provide individual rate expectation.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
* Complete documentation/manuals associated with newbuild Subsea / ROV systems & Equipment.
* Review procedures and drawings in order to ensure practicality from an ROV operations point of view.
* Awareness and understanding of Saipem’s current requirements and, where applicable, the latest Industry Codes and Standards, including statutory rules and regulations.
* To ensure that all activities are carried out in a manner consistent with Saipem’s policy on health, safety, quality and environmental matters in accordance with Saipem's specific procedures.
* To ensure that personal safety and that of others is not compromised or placed at risk.
Required Experience And Skills
* Completed engineering studies at a University or College level, or possess equivalent experience.
* Strong knowledge of ROV offshore operations, in particular subsea construction and remote intervention.
* Up to date with ISO 13628-8 ‘Design and operation of subsea production systems – Part 8: Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) interfaces on subsea production systems.
* Ability to produce technical documentation for remotely operated subsea equipment.
* Have a good knowledge of ROV system design and system-level engineering.
* Efficient in Microsoft Office programs, MathCAD, and AutoCAD.
* Ability to work without supervision, coordinate varied resources, actively contribute, and possess problem-solving skills.
* Efficient communication skills at all levels and be confident in supervising other technical disciplines.
