What you’ll do as an Employability Skills Trainer You’ll be entrusted to: Deliver employability skills to cohorts of learners through face‑to‑face workshops, online learning platforms, and remote systems. Lead engaging group sessions, workshops, and one‑to‑one support as required. Complete formative diagnostics of learner progress to ensure they’re on track to gain employment. Work with Employment Coaches to design individual development plans and provide effective Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG). Contribute to the creation, development, and review of high‑quality learning materials that enhance learner experience. Collaborate closely with colleagues across the Restart team to ensure our skills portfolio is delivered effectively. Support the coordination and marketing of programmes to enhance learner engagement. Maintain strong professional communication across Serco learning and partner networks. Does this sound like you? You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have… A minimum Level 3 teaching or employability qualification (e.g., PTLLS, AET, or equivalent). Experience delivering employability programmes or adult education training. Strong knowledge of face‑to‑face and online teaching methods. Relevant industry experience in warehousing, customer service, or retail. The ability to motivate unemployed participants with empathy, clarity, and care. Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills. Vetting and checks: An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role. This includes spent and unspent convictions, cautions, and any relevant information held by local police, in accordance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and safeguarding requirements. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire to allow us to provide any support needed for you to succeed in the role.
