18-month FTC (has potential to become permanent)


Hybrid role - Aldermaston

Mitie is seeking an exceptional Strategic Client Director (SCD) to take ownership of one of our most significant client partnerships. This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of a major account, drive strategic growth, and influence the direction of a high‑profile, multi‑service contract.

The Opportunity

As our Strategic Client Director, you will be the driving force behind the account's long‑term success. You will:

* Lead the strategic direction of the contract, ensuring seamless delivery and continuous improvement.
* Build powerful partnerships with senior client stakeholders, aligning cultures, ambitions, and long‑term goals.
* Own the P&L, ensuring commercial performance, operational excellence, and sustainable growth.
* Champion innovation, service excellence, and best practice across soft and hard services.
* Shape and secure future opportunities, partnering with our business development teams to expand and evolve the contract.
* Represent Mitie at the highest level, reinforcing our brand, values, and commitment to delivering the exceptional every day.


Strategic Partnership & Client Leadership

You will be the trusted advisor and strategic partner to the client, responsible for:

* Co‑creating a shared vision for long‑term success.
* Anticipating needs, identifying opportunities, and evolving the account strategy.
* Elevating the client experience through consistent, high‑impact communication.
* Ensuring every interaction reflects Mitie's brand, values, and service promise.

* Using data, KPIs, and benchmarks to drive performance and identify opportunities.


Service Excellence & Future Innovation

You will ensure the contract remains industry‑leading by:

* Delivering exceptional service quality and customer experience.
* Driving continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
* Using insights and data to manage risk and unlock growth.
* Championing QHSE excellence and compliance across all operations.
* Building strong relationships with SMEs, partners, and third parties to fuel innovation.


Service Assurance & Compliance

You will uphold the highest standards of safety, security, and governance:

* Ensuring full compliance with Mitie policies, procedures, and information security.
* Leading improvements in safety systems and reporting.
* Managing incidents, investigations, and risk mitigation with professionalism and care.


What You Bring

We're looking for a standout leader with:

* Proven senior leadership experience in strategic partnerships and service excellence.
* Expertise across soft and hard services in complex, multi‑stakeholder environments.
* Experience in water and waste is preferred.
* Strong commercial acumen and P&L ownership.
* Exceptional relationship‑building skills and emotional intelligence.
* A growth mindset, entrepreneurial energy, and the gravitas to influence at the highest level.
* A track record of driving innovation, embedding performance cultures, and delivering measurable value.
* APM PMQ or CDM awareness (desirable but not essential).
