The role
The Distribution Control Centre (DCC) in Perth manages SSEN’s High Voltage Distribution Network, spanning from Scotland's central belt to Shetland, covering nearly 50,000 km of network delivering electricity to homes.
We seek a Distribution Control Engineer to join our Perth team. You will ensure the safe and efficient operation of the electrical distribution network, working with professional engineers to manage system performance, respond to faults, and oversee switching operations.

You will
* Adhere to company policies and procedures.
* Plan and execute High Voltage switching for routine work and faults.
* Manage real-time network operations and security.
* Complete accurate reporting.
You must have
* Experience working as a Senior Authorised Person on a distribution network.
* Willingness to work towards a HNC level qualification in Engineering.
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
* Knowledge of Distribution Codes and Procedures.
Candidates will need to obtain SC level vetting through the UK Government, which requires 5 years of UK residency. More information can be found at UK Government Security Vetting.
