Responsibilities:
1. Develop customer and market focussed product collections each season in line with company strategy and brand identity
2. Research trends, materials, trims and colour palettes and design new product incorporating in line with the full price shoe range
3. Spot opportunities for new shapes and products to enhance the current range
4. Produce detailed spec with technical drawings for new product development and modifications to samples
5. Work closely with the Buying team to ensure production details meet the brands quality requirements
6. Work closely with the Buying team to finalise aesthetics of approved designs for production
7. Produce high quality work to targets and tight deadlines
8. Visit suppliers as required
Requirements
9. Footwear Design degree or equivalent
10. Previous experience as a Ladies Footwear Designer, ideally with outlet experience
11. Passionate about fashion with a strong interest in and keen eye for current and upcoming trends
12. Strong understanding of brand building; the ability to see trends through the lens of the brand, while focusing on the use of existing house codes and evolution of icons
13. A flair for design with great creativity and imagination
14. Confident in presenting your designs formally and informally
15. A practical knowledge and experience of production methods in the far east
16. Able to work without supervision, prioritising and managing own workload
17. Ability to work as part of highly productive team, building relationships with a positive attitude
18. Excellent attention to detail
19. Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator skills necessary

Our Stores
The first Kurt Geiger store opened on London Bond street in 1963. Today, our brand has global appeal and is distributed in hundreds of cities around the world. We operate over 70 stand-alone stores nationwide, including our new flagship store on London Oxford street, and in over 400 stores globally. Beyond stand-alone stores and retail pop ups, our retail partners include some of the world’s most famous department stores.
