The Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team at the developer’s Leicestershire office. You will play a key role in managing the financial and contractual aspects of multiple timber frame residential projects, typically overseeing 3-4 sites at a time. This is a predominantly office-based role with occasional site visits, approximately twice a month, for valuations, client meetings, and subcontractor coordination. Key responsibilities include:
Procuring and negotiating subcontract packages.
Conducting pre-let meetings and selecting best-value subcontractors.
Ensuring tender compliance and cost alignment with technical and construction teams.
Managing subcontractor payments and monthly valuations.
Monitoring project costs, forecasts, and budget performance.
Supporting delivery teams to maintain commercial efficiency across developments.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably within residential construction.
Understanding of timber frame construction (advantageous).
Strong commercial acumen and ability to manage multiple projects.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills.
Based in Leicestershire for regular office attendance.
Team-oriented with a proactive and collaborative approach.
