We’re looking for an aspiring Chef Apprentice to join our team at the Oystercatcher, Polzeath — one of the venues that make up St Austell's managed pub estate.

What does the Chef Apprentice role look like?
Throughout this apprenticeship, you will work with experienced chefs in a fast-paced, energetic environment. As the course progresses, you will develop your knowledge, skills, and behaviour — learning fundamental principles to build a successful career as a professional chef.
You’ll practice your skills while at work, with full support from the team. As you develop, you'll become proficient in working with high-quality, fresh local produce, and you'll play a hands-on role in prepping and cooking dishes to specification, handling high volumes, and maintaining consistency. You will learn to adapt your approach and work flexibly under pressure.
During your apprenticeship, you'll be led by some of the best in our business, gaining firsthand experience of efficient kitchen practices. Your practical lessons and on-the-job experience will enable you to gain a nationally recognized qualification, progress in your career, and become an integral part of our extended operations.
