This role is all about using your practical skills and attention to detail to look after a place that people love. We're looking for a Facilities Assistant at Nostell Priory to help keep the whole place in good condition and running smoothly for all the people who visit.
Hours: This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in equal instalments over the contract. Includes some weekends and bank holidays
2 roles available:
1- 780 hours across the year, average of 15 hours per week. Permanent contract.
2- 286 hours across the contract, average of 11 hours per week. Fixed term contract for 6 months.
Salary: 12.25 an hour
Interview date: Thursday 14th August

The ambitious team are focused on making Nostell Priory one of Yorkshire’s most high profile visitor attractions and are looking for creative hard-working people who will bring ideas and energy to the property. The property is situated a short distance from bustling Wakefield, meaning the property offers a rare opportunity to work in the country, but live in the city.

What you'll be doing
You’ll help with the day-to-day presentation of the National Trust’s buildings and outdoor spaces. You’ll be turning your hand to all sorts of cleaning and minor bits of maintenance, making sure that all our facilities are kept in good working order. You'll also be asked to help with some manual work such as unloading deliveries.
Duties such as cleaning the visitor facilities, sweeping and litter-picking, both inside and outdoors. form a core part of this role. You’ll be aiming for the highest standards of customer service everywhere you look after, and this includes speaking to people as they visit and helping them with any queries. You might also get involved with general maintenance work and helping other teams if they need extra support.
