Overview
I am currently supporting a leading Precision engineering organisation, responsible to key contributions within the Motor sport and F1 industry, with their search for a CNC Machinist with experience with offline CAM programming, Heidenhein controls and night shift working.
Responsibilities
* Set up and operate CNC milling machines for high-precision component production.
* Program, edit, and optimize machining processes using Heidenhain controls.
* Work with advanced materials like carbon fiber to create components for industries such as motorsport.
* Perform quality checks to ensure components meet strict specifications and tolerances.
* Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot and optimize machining processes.
* Use Visi machining CAM software for offline programming.
* Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a CNC Machinist with expertise in CNC milling and 5-axis machining.
* Proficiency in programming and operating machines using Heidenhain controls.
* Strong understanding of blueprint reading and GD&T.
* Experience machining motor sport parts and working with carbon fiber components is advantageous.
* Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
* CAM Offline programmingis extremely important, the preferredprogramming is Visi Vero
Day-to-day
The shift times give the option of either 10 or 12 hour shift Monday to Thursday. Start times are between 16:30pm and 8am
Benefits
* Competitive hourly rate of £17-£22 per hour + £5 shift allowance
* 20 days annual leave.
* Overtime paid at 1.5x the standard rate.
