Role Purpose: Support the efficient day-to-day operations of Business Development team by managing customer relationships, achieving daily call targets, and developing specific accounts. Contribute to revenue generation through effective customer engagement, contract conversion, and onboarding processes. Ensure high standards of customer service and support the Team Leader in achieving overall targets.

Role Accountabilities:

* Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and encourage spending.
* Daily Call Targets: Achieve daily outbound call targets to engage with customers and promote Ideal Bathrooms products and services.
* Account Development: Develop and manage customer accounts, ensuring growth and satisfaction.
* Sales Promotion: Assist in driving sales of Ideal Bathrooms products and brands to maximize revenue and gross profit.
* Product Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products and market trends to effectively communicate value to customers.
* Reporting: Keep call reporting up to date in the Salesi system.
* Customer Terms: Understand and adhere to customer terms and company policies.
* New Account Development: Identify and develop new accounts, researching promotional opportunities.
* Customer Interaction: Respond to phone, email, and web requests promptly and professionally.
* Adherence to Principles: Follow the Wolseley principles of Conduct and Action.
* Sales Strategy Support: Assist in implementing sales strategies to drive business growth and achieve revenue targets.
* Market Expansion: Support efforts to expand the company's market presence and reach new customer segments.
* Performance Metrics: Monitor and analyse sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
* Innovation: Contribute innovative ideas to improve sales and business development processes.
* Contract Conversion:
* Lead Conversion: Convert leads into contracts by effectively communicating the value proposition of Ideal Bathrooms products and services.
* Negotiation: Assist in negotiating contract terms to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
* Follow-Up: Follow up with potential clients to address concerns and move them towards contract signing.
* Documentation: Ensure contract documentation is accurate and compliant with company policies.
* Client Onboarding: Facilitate a smooth onboarding process for new clients.

Relationships:

* Ideal Bathrooms Marketing: Collaborate with the marketing team to support business development efforts and drive brand awareness.
* Finance Business Partner: Work with the finance team to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial reports related to business development activities.
* Customer Service Team: Partner with the customer service team to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and address any issues that may arise.
* Executive Leadership: Maintain regular communication with executive leadership to report on business development progress and align on strategic goals.

Required Practical and Technical Knowledge:

* Sales Experience: Previous experience in a sales environment (beneficial)
* Passion for Sales: Demonstrates enthusiasm and dedication to sales.
* Account Management: Ability to manage accounts methodically yet flexibly.
* Effective Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with correct grammar.
* Product and Market Awareness: Excellent knowledge of products and market trends.
* Target Achievement: Proven ability to achieve sales targets.
* Industry Experience: Experience within the industry is desirable.
* Process Knowledge: Understanding of work processes.
* Technical Skills: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other relevant tools.
* Initiative and Ownership: Able to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
