Responsibilities
Check, monitor and progress all aspects of the patient pathway in line with clinical instruction and national and local waiting times. Liaise directly with the consultant and delegated members of the consultant team. Use information reports to assist and promote best practice among peers, offering guidance for clinical teams. Work closely with other members of the clinical admin teams, Team Leaders and the Data Quality Team to ensure consistent approaches to RTT validation. Provide secretarial duties: clinical correspondence, general letters, admin duties including phone and post, and oversee Consultants/Clinicians PTL. Use Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure correct and consistent completion within given timescales.
Qualifications & Competencies
• Expert knowledge of patient pathways, including the 18‑week Referrals to Treatment (RTT) rules.
• Strong administrative skills across all areas of function to support the patient pathway.
• Ability to apply Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain consistent, timely work.
• Excellent written communication and IT proficiency for secretarial tasks.
