We are looking for a Goods In Operative to join the Operations Team at a growing chemical business based in Elland. This is a hands-on role ensuring all goods received are managed efficiently and meet both client requirements and industry regulations.
What you'll be doing...
* Receive and inspect all incoming goods, checking against purchase orders and client specifications
* Verify that all materials are correctly labelled and meet quality standards, reporting discrepancies or damages
* Ensure hazardous materials are handled and stored in line with COSHH, COMAH, and relevant safety regulations
* Accurately log all goods received in a timely manner
* Liaise with suppliers and clients to resolve issues related to damaged or missing items
* Assist with preparing materials for outgoing shipments

What we're looking for...
Must have:
* Good levels of Maths and English
* Excellent attention to detail
* Strong organisation and planning skills
* Confident using computers and digital systems
* Experience in a fast-paced or pressurised environment
* Manual handling experience
Bonus to have:
* Previous experience in a similar goods-in or warehouse role
* Knowledge or experience within the chemical industry
