Overview
What You\'ll Do... An exciting new opportunity has become available for a Process Engineer within the Electrode area of our GME function. You will be on the forefront of designing, creating and implementing a brand-new manufacturing facility within an emerging industry. At the scale of this project, you will not only be delivering complex and cutting-edge technologies but also ensuring that this can be implemented successfully in a completely new environment.
Responsibilities
* Be the primary subject matter expert for a specific manufacturing process area
* Develop the manufacturing process, including the design, control strategy and risk mitigation activity for key areas of the end-to-end production process
* Develop and maintain all process documentation; SWIs, PFMEAs, Control Plans and associated Quality Assurance requirements
* Lead the selection, implementation, commissioning and ramp-up of manufacturing equipment and capability
* Define implementation plans and associated actions to ensure compliance with targets for OEE, yield, cycle time and product quality throughout the industrialisation lifecycle
* Work closely with equipment vendors and technical partners to ensure the production process is delivered to target
* Ongoing ownership of key process control points, using data and analysis to drive continuous improvement to product and process
* Close integration with R&D teams to inform technology roadmap and ensure ongoing alignment with manufacturing capability

The UK business headquarters is in the Midlands and we are currently building a battery manufacturing facility in Bridgwater, Somerset.
The team you\'ll join
The Process Engineering team is a dynamic group working across a range of areas such as electrode, cell assembly, FA&T (formation, ageing and testing), control and automation, manufacturing systems, digital manufacturing, process safety and logistics engineering. Being a relatively new team, you’ll play a critical part in creating processes and help building large scale manufacturing lines from the ground up.
What You\'ll Bring
* Degree qualified in a relevant Engineering discipline (Chemical Engineering), or extensive experience of process driven manufacturing environments.
* Experience as a Manufacturing or Process Engineer in a highly automated or controlled environment
* Experience of New Product Introduction (NPI) programmes and associated challenges or introducing new processes/plant.
* Good understanding of Health, Safety & Environmental considerations for process design
* Experience of delivering new manufacturing capability throughout the maturation lifecycle
* Strong communication skills at all levels of an organisation
* Experience of data analysis & manufacturing problem solving skills
* Desirable – Experience working on a large scale high-hazard industrial facility.
