Physician Assistant, ObGyn - Winchester Hospital
Join Winchester Hospital and play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care! As a credentialed ObGyn Physician Assistant, you\'ll work closely with specialist physicians, supporting inpatient services. You\'ll be a key part of our healthcare team, collaborating to achieve the best possible outcomes for our patients and their families.
What You'll Do
* Obstetrics:
o Assist Obstetricians with patient care and deliveries.
o Perform procedures.
o Maintain competency in CPN.
* Surgical Services:
o Support surgeons with perioperative care.
o Perform surgical procedures.
o Maintain competency in CPOE.
Schedule
* 36 hours, typically 3 12-hour shifts per week
* Rotating schedule, days (7am-7pm) and nights (7pm-7am). Night shifts every third weekend and holidays
What You'll Bring
Education
* Required: Graduate of an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant program.
* Preferred: Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies with a specialty focus.
Experience
* Required: Clinical experience in Labor and Delivery; BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.
* Required: At least 6 months of clinical experience in the specialty.
* Obstetrics: Experience with labor and vaginal delivery, postpartum care, cervical ripening agents, and fetal heart monitoring.
* Surgical Services: Experience within the perioperative environment including first assist role as well as managing surgical patients.
Other Skills/Knowledge
* Required Life Support Certifications:
o Obstetrics: NRP, BLS
o Surgical Services: ACLS
* Ability to first assist in the operating room
* Proficiency in performing bedside procedures
* Strong collaborative skills for patient management
* Basic computer skills
* Excellent communication skills in English (read, write, speak)
