We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Commis to join our culinary team. As a Commis, you will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen operations by assisting with food preparation, cooking, and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. Responsibilities
* Assist in the preparation and cooking of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
* Support senior chefs in food production and kitchen management tasks.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
* Participate in the plating and presentation of dishes to ensure they meet the restaurant's quality standards.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations and timely service.
* Monitor stock levels of ingredients and report any shortages to senior staff.
* Uphold the highest standards of hospitality while interacting with colleagues and other staff members.
Requirements
* Previous kitchen experience or culinary training is preferred.
* A strong understanding of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
* Experience in food production within a restaurant or hospitality setting is advantageous.
* Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to supervise junior staff effectively.
