UK Assistant Fleet Manager PPG | Birstall, Batley Full Time Permanant The Role: The UK Assistant Fleet Manager will support the UK Fleet Operations Manager in enhancing customer service levels, ensuring safety and compliance, and driving operational efficiency across all facets of the fleet, including company car and van drivers across SBU within the UK&I. This position plays a crucial role in assisting UK & Ireland PPG business leaders, regional teams, and key business projects to achieve the set safety, sales, margin, and cost control targets. Support the management of the AC hub efficiency dashboard, providing training to hub managers, and aiding in the enhancement of operating and safety standards for AC commercial and company car fleets. Assist in identifying and executing cost-saving initiatives. Aid in the vehicle procurement process for commercial vehicles, passenger vehicles, and power lifting equipment to ensure alignment with commercial and EHS requirements. Provide support to managers for driver training, emphasizing safe driving practices, PPG policy awareness, and legal obligations. Support and monitor the use of route optimization software and telematics, providing regular reports to the UK Fleet Operations Manager. Maintain a database of driving incidents, analysing types, frequency, and causes across AC commercial and company car fleets. Requirements: Willingness to travel, with a requirement for overnight stays. Excellent understanding of fleet policies and procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. Strong organizational and planning skills.
