Erskine Stewart’s Melville Schools are currently recruiting for a Sports Attendant (NPLQ Qualified) to join the ESMS Sports Centre on a casual or temporary basis until August 2025. Positions are available immediately (subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks). The rate of pay is £12.45 per hour, with working hours between 8.30am and 10.30pm, Monday to Sunday. The role is based at the Queensferry Road site.

Sports Attendants play a key role in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. Responsibilities include lifeguarding, ensuring safety rules are followed, maintaining cleanliness and equipment, setting up sports equipment, assisting at reception, managing bookings and queries, delivering customer service, and conducting fitness inductions. You will also support health and safety standards and assist with promotional activities as directed by management.

The ideal candidate will hold an NPLQ and demonstrate strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills. A positive attitude, integrity, and understanding of games-based coaching are essential. Desirable qualifications include experience in customer service, schools or fitness settings, a First Aid certificate, and a keen interest in sport and fitness.
