Were looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented Production Technician to join our growing team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone with a passion for electronics, wiring, and assembly work, whos ready to develop their technical skills and grow within a specialist manufacturing environment.
In this role, youll be responsible for the manufacture, assembly, and testing of high-voltage electrical test equipment, working from technical drawings and engineering documentation.
Key Responsibilities
* Manufacture, assemble, and test electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies.
* Carry out soldering on electrical control boards and wiring harnesses.
* Assemble, crimp, and route complex wiring harnesses.
* Perform fault-finding and repairs on electrical and associated assemblies.
* Maintain all workshop tools and equipment, reporting any issues to the Production Manager.
* Ensure calibration of tools and equipment remains up to date and within specification.
* Complete production job cards and all related quality documentation accurately.
* Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
* Keep work areas organised, clean, and safe.
* Use appropriate PPE as directed.
* Contribute positively to team culture and support additional production activities as required.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
* NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification/time-served in Electrical Engineering or Manufacturing.
* Previous experience in an electronics or electrical assembly environment.
* Skilled in wiring and soldering.
* Experience building and testing harnesses.
* Familiarity with high-voltage systems is advantageous.
* Good IT literacy, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel.
