Our team touches all aspects of airport life – from water to energy, rail to roads, baggage systems to runways. The scope and variety of what we do is vast, spanning mechanical, electrical, water, civil, rail and environmental disciplines. Together we are responsible for the performance of 500,000 assets worth £14bn. It means there are always a wide range of interesting development, construction and maintenance projects to get involved with. And a lot of ways to develop your skills, career and reputation.

Job Description
Joining Engineering means stepping into a role at the heart of Heathrow’s operation. We’re looking for a skilled and safety-focused Water Technician to help deliver high-quality maintenance and engineering services across our airport facilities.
You’ll play a vital role in ensuring our water systems are reliable, efficient and compliant, keeping passengers and operations flowing smoothly.

Salary: £44,765 plus shift allowance. Shift pattern 2 days, 2 nights and 4 days off.
Your role will involve
* Enabling Heathrow’s passengers to experience the best airport service in the world, through maintaining a broad range of specialist equipment.
* Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on water assets. Investigating faulty or poor-performing assets, identifying improvements and implementing meaningful change to improve the airport experience.
* Keeping records up to date, for example, the maintenance history of our assets, to create efficiency and meet Heathrow’s regulatory requirements.
* Showcasing your passion for ‘doing the right thing’, by proactively spotting hazards, reducing risks, and creating a safer environment for all.
* Champion continuous improvement and best practice.
These Skills Are Essential
* City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in an electrical or mechanical discipline. Please note a degree would not be equivalent to City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3.
* Strong hands-on experience, gained within an engineering environment.
* Analytical thinking and sound problem-solving skills.
* Ability to prioritise in a complex and fast-paced setting.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ideally, you will also have:
* Experience working on water systems.
