Are you passionate about supporting people managers and driving organisational performance? In this role, you will work closely with your HR Business Partner to deliver high-quality, strategic, and operational HR support across the organisation. You will play a key part in driving forward a positive employee experience, supporting HR initiatives, partnering with key stakeholders, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional HR services across the Trust.

You will have relevant HR experience, preferably within a business partnering model. You should hold a degree or possess equivalent experience capable of operating at this level and have a professional HR qualification or be working towards one. In addition:

* Demonstrable experience of collaborative working with a range of stakeholders, including partnership with union representatives.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
* Comprehensive, up-to-date knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.


Main duties of the job

You will work in close collaboration with the HR Business Partner, delivering both strategic and operational HR support throughout the organisation. You will play a vital role in fostering a positive employee experience, advancing HR initiatives, and building effective partnerships with key stakeholders. This includes ensuring the consistent delivery of outstanding HR services across the organisation.

We work in a blended way with a mix of home working and in the office, with location based on a business need. The roles base will be at Trust Headquarters in Ashton under Lyne with an expectation to travel across the wider organisational footprint as required.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities


Key Responsibilities

* · Provide operational workforce support to the HR Business Partner, promoting best practice in people management across the Mental Health Network as well as the broader workforce and Organisational Development function.
* · Collaborate closely with the HR Business Partner to leverage multiple data sources for strategic workforce planning, modernisation, and transformation projects.
* · Support initiatives that drive engagement and performance improvement, embedding best HR practices and enhancing people management capability across care hubs and the Network.
* · Take responsibility for a designated portfolio of work, contributing to the successful delivery of the organisation’s overall people plans.

Person specification


Education / Qualifications

* Educated to Degree level plus further experience to Master’s level
* Professional HR qualification (or studying towards)
* Evidence of Associate CIPD membership and relevant experience to demonstrate application of this level of theory and practice in organisational change techniques.
* Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
* Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management / Organisation Development.


Experience

* Significant experience of providing HR advice and support
* Demonstrable experience of collaborative working with key stakeholders within and external to the organisation
* Experience of coaching and developing people management capacity within a multi-disciplinary environment
* Experience of supporting Organisational Change projects
* Demonstrable experience of effectively working with Trade Unions
* Demonstrable experience of working with managers on the analysis of grade and skill mix and job design/local workforce planning
* Evidence of successful handling of employee relations cases


Knowledge

* Knowledge of current NHS policy and future developments
* Good working knowledge of HR good practice and the HR framework in the NHS


Skills and Abilities

* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence others
* Attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to balance priorities and meet personal and directorate targets within a fluctuating and demanding workload
* Consultative approach
* Ability to explore, evaluate and interpret information and options and make decisions and recommendations based on an analysis of options.
* Problem solving skills and to be able to explain things in a clear and concise way
* Sound IT skills in Microsoft Office and BI
* Confidence in making presentations and public speaking
* Ability to analyse complex issues and provide practical and creative solutions
