Inventory and Assets Manager Tachbrook Park Permanent, Full-time About the Role We’re looking for an experienced and proactive Inventory and Assets Manager to take the lead on how we manage and optimise our physical assets – from gas cylinders and tanks to operational equipment – across our sites nationwide. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on improving processes, driving collaboration across teams, and making a real impact on how we control, track, and use our assets. You’ll take ownership of all inventory and asset management processes, ensuring they are robust, transparent, and efficient — supporting business continuity, regulatory compliance, and commercial success. What You’ll Be Doing Inventory and Asset Management Own and continuously improve end-to-end inventory processes for all gas cylinders, tanks, and related assets. Maintain accurate inventory records aligned with finance and audit requirements. Lead and support key stock management processes (stocktaking, reconciliation, and weekly controls). Oversee compliant and efficient handling of cylinder defects, scrapping, and nil-take elimination. Define and track KPIs to monitor stock accuracy, losses, and performance across sites. Asset Control & Lifecycle Maintain and update the asset register to ensure full traceability and visibility of lifecycle stages. Coordinate asset condition monitoring, refurbishment, and retirement planning. Work closely with Engineering and Maintenance to align asset strategy with operational priorities. Governance & Risk Mitigation Identify and close process gaps across COMAH and non-COMAH sites. Ensure compliance with ISO 55000 and SHEQ frameworks. Act as the business owner for inventory-related risk controls. Stakeholder Collaboration Partner with Operations, Commercial, Transformation, and Finance teams to align asset and inventory strategies. Support strategic partners and retailers in managing customer-held stock. Systems & Process Improvement Lead continuous improvement and digital transformation initiatives related to inventory visibility and asset tracking. Work with Transformation and IT to deliver scalable tools and automation. What We’re Looking For Essential: Proven ability to lead and improve inventory and asset management processes in a high-volume, multi-site environment. Strong understanding of supply chain, S&OP, and asset lifecycle principles. Familiarity with ISO 55000 and SHEQ frameworks. Excellent analytical, stakeholder management, and project leadership skills. Experience with ERP or asset tracking systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Maximo). Desirable: Experience in regulated or high-hazard industries such as energy, chemicals, or logistics. Why Apply?
