JOB TITLE: Group Head of Data Product Strategy & Governance
LOCATION(S): Bristol, Manchester or London
HOURS: Full-time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites
What you'll be doing
Set the strategic direction for Producer-Consumer interaction, data product accountability, and governance‑by‑design across the organisation, including ownership of the Data Product Operating Model.
Lead Group‑wide governance and data safety, ensuring compliance with policies, metadata standards and data lifecycle requirements across platforms and domains.
Drive cross‑enterprise alignment by partnering with CDAO Data Management, Metadata, Contracts, and CTO teams to harmonise governance processes and lifecycle standards.
Oversee end‑to‑end operational governance of data products, including Marketplace delivery, sprint planning, release readiness, user support, and integration with tooling such as data contracts and Marketplace capabilities.
Engage and influence senior stakeholders, championing Marketplace adoption, leading demos and communications, and supporting domain teams in improving data product quality and governance adoption.
Lead and develop a high‑performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and engineering excellence, and managing recruitment, resourcing and team development.

What we're looking for
Demonstrated track record in data, analytics, or data product environments.
Experience working with federated business units and cross‑organisational delivery models.
Background in data governance, metadata or data management (desirable).
Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams, including engineering, product and analysis roles.
