Role Overview
As an Associate Consultant, you will join our project teams, supporting the delivery of consulting projects, whilst developing your understanding of consulting methodologies, tools, and the National Security and Defence sector.
Day-to-day, you’ll take responsibility for defined tasks and deliverables, gradually building your expertise and confidence in consulting delivery. This role provides an excellent foundation for understanding consulting fundamentals and developing the core skills needed for career progression within QinetiQ's consulting practice.
Key Responsibilities
* Work with the National Security Consulting team to support the delivery of projects, utilizing recognised business analysis techniques to execute tasks.
* Develop understanding of consulting methodologies and tools and contribute to capability development within the National Security Advisory Services IDT and build knowledge of the National Security and Defense sector.
* Support documentation and reporting activities.
* Plan and support engagements with stakeholders of all levels, capturing requirements and helping problem‑solve blockers.
* Proactively communicate and collaborate with internal and external customers to understand their needs, consolidating findings with a clear output‑centric approach.
* Play an active role in the team and wider business, contributing to a diverse and inclusive culture which values professionalism.
Essential Experience
* Experience across: Business Analysis, Business Change, Technical Consultancy, and Project/Program Management.
* Proficiency in applying methods and tools for problem‑solving and analysis with familiarity of Agile methodology.
* Ability to interface with external stakeholders/customers and internal teams.
* Some familiarity with the National Security and Defence sectors and awareness of sector structure and operational challenges.
* Excellent communication skills.

This role is 37 hours per week based at our London site. Hybrid working patterns are available.
