We are recruiting a Stores/ Buying Supervisor to join our award-winning family business at our Head Office in Carlisle.
This is a varied role and would be ideal for someone who is self-motivated and organised. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing our Stores, liaising with internal personnel and external suppliers to ensure the timely, cost effective and quality-focused supply of goods, coordinating and delivering materials and equipment to our sites, operating our 'Offsite' spray paint facility and undertaking basic maintenance of equipment.
As the role requires travel, a driving licence is essential. You will also need a FLT Licence or be willing to undertake FLT training to be considered for the position. This position will be subject to an enhanced DBS Disclosure check, which will be paid for by the company.

· General maintenance of equipment

Main Duties :
· General maintenance of equipment either personally or arranging contractors, maintaining records
· Managing the process for purchasing materials and supplies
· PAT testing of electrical equipment
· Service check returned items.
· Manage a small number of plant items.
· Co-ordinating external plant hire
· Correct disposal of waste
· Delivery of equipment to sites
· To promote best practice in maintaining high levels of Health and Safety
· Stock, plant and consumables control.
· Face fit testing
· Issuing internal equipment and supplies
· Dealing with vehicles including service records
· Keep all stores and yards, a clean, tidy, and safe working environment.
· Running Offsite spray-painting facility, when required.
· Undertake such other duties that are required from time to time commensurate with this position.
