Job Description
* Deliver quarterly tax figures for inclusion in the IFRS group reporting
* Liaise with the shared service centre to ensure UK VAT reporting is accurate
* Prepare accurate and punctual UK group tax computations for submission to HMRC, as well as local CIR return
* Initiate and process tax payments for UK
* Maintain the Taxrisk database and SOX controls
* Collaborate with external auditors and tax consultants as needed.
* Identify opportunities for process improvements in tax and accounting operations.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Tax & Accounting Manager should have:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience
* Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or ACA.
* Excellent knowledge of tax laws and accounting standards.
* Understanding of IFRS (in particular IAS 12)
* UK VAT knowledge and UK tax legislation
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organisation.
