Swindon Foyer, located in the heart of Swindon's Old Town, supports vulnerable young people aged 16-25 to achieve independence through integrated housing, personal development, and training services.
We are seeking an enthusiastic Support Worker (Coach) to provide person-centered, strengths-based support, managing a caseload and encouraging residents to articulate and achieve their aspirations. Responsibilities include managing referrals, conducting interviews and assessments, inducting new residents, and delivering quality support sessions both individually and in groups.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Proven experience working with young people in similar roles, with knowledge of homelessness and its impact.
* Knowledge of housing and benefits advice.
* Experience in partnership working with agencies such as mental health and youth offending services.
* Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to motivate and influence others.
* Excellent interpersonal skills adaptable to different audiences and outcomes.
* Understanding of professional boundaries and high personal integrity.
Note: Training can be provided for non-essential skills.
