Trainee Hearing Aid Audiologist - St Albans
(please note that if you live and work in Scotland or Wales you will attend the same course as a non-apprentice)
We are currently recruiting apprentices to join our Hearing Aid Dispenser Level 5 Apprenticeship. Successful completion of the 14-month apprenticeship will provide eligibility to register as a Hearing Aid Dispenser with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) with guaranteed employment on registration.
With a starting salary of £24,230 (+ company car/car allowance after 35 weeks) and once qualified an OTE package of circa £55,000

What does a Hearing Aid Audiologist do?
As part of a unique and much sought after role in healthcare in the UK, you will:
* provide exceptional customer service, advice and patient care
* carry out hearing assessments
* provide and sell the most appropriate hearing solutions
* support patients through the fitting and provide aftercare to ensure the best results possible
* work within HCPC standards of performance, conduct and ethics
* work in the heart of the community visiting patients in their own homes
What are the minimum requirements?
* 4 GCSEs at grades 9-4 / A – C including Maths, English, and Science. Certificates must be provided upon application.
* Excellent communication skills with a warm, friendly personality and the ability to empathise with patients with hearing loss.
* Commercial awareness and ability to work towards targets; success depends on providing top-tier service, working to targets, and selling hearing aids.
* IT Skills – confident in MS Office and quick to learn new software.
* Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a car for the initial 35-week training period.
* Ability to commit to 60 weeks of training starting 14th July, including two residential blocks of 10 weeks in Buxton from Monday pm to Thursday pm.
* Reside in or be willing to relocate to the training location by the start date.
* Subject to an enhanced DBS check.
* If English is not your first language, IELTS Level 7 in speaking, writing, and reading (no sub-score below 6.5).

* A starting salary of £24,230 (plus London weighting allowance in and around the M25)
* Potential to earn over £37,500 plus commission and bonuses (OTE £55k+)
