The Role We are seeking a Health and Safety Administrator to join our Brighton based team, reporting to the Health and Safety Officer. This is a 12-month fixed-term position. In this role you will be instrumental in ensuring we maintain the high safety standards defined in our Safety Management System, as well as those safety standards required by the School Travel Forum. The primary function of the role is to provide administrative support for our Sports, Ski and Education brands. On a day-to-day basis this will involve ensuring that accommodation, coaches and excursions provided as part of an itinerary are safety checked in advance of groups travelling. What you will be doing: You will have responsibility for health and safety processes and tasks within the business including: Monitor the bookings for accommodation, coaches and excursions to identify the requirements for self-assessment and physical inspections to be carried out. Issue and chase self-assessments as required, ensuring a clear audit trail is maintained for each supplier. Assist in reviewing completed self-assessments and request additional information as necessary. Update the booking system with the H&S status for each supplier also denoting any required restrictions. Implement any supplier restrictions in line with the agreed sign off. Liaise with the external Technical Advisor to ensure that any adventurous activities are approved prior to first use. Support the Operations Teams by providing pre-departure safety information to groups as requested. Assist with the implementation of any agreed actions to maintain employee safety in the Brighton Office. There is potential for the role to grow, offering opportunities to take on additional health and safety responsibilities. Training in health and safety will be provided.
