What’s the role?
We are currently looking for a newly qualified and/or experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our friendly team in Knowsley, Merseyside. This role is easily commutable from anywhere in the North West of England. Due to the nature and experience of the team, we proactively support a hybrid working model. We are keen to develop the successful candidate to excel in this position, whether you are just starting your career or seeking a supportive company to grow professionally.
Our regional office is accessible from anywhere in the North West of England, located just off Junction 6 of the M62.

Responsibilities:
* Be an integral part of the commercial team supporting the Managing Quantity Surveyor
* Build strong relationships with internal and client counterparts
* Manage sub-contracts, including tender enquiries, awards, and assessment of monthly payment applications
* Support the production of monthly CVRs
* Produce internal and client forecasts
* Manage Final Accounts from production to agreement
* Follow all Tarmac and client processes to minimise commercial risk
* Ensure accurate valuation of work and follow through to cash collection
* Prepare and submit monthly payment applications to clients
* Prepare and issue early warning notices and compensation events
Due to the nature of the work, a company vehicle may be included. Therefore, applicants must have a FULL UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 points. We will consider applicants working towards a driving license if they live locally.
Ideal candidate:
* Drive and ambition to succeed
* Knowledge of NEC3/4 (training can be provided)
* Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills
* Strong communication, numeracy, and analytical abilities
* Process-driven with commercial awareness and negotiation skills
Education-wise, a degree is preferred, but equivalent qualifications such as a minimum HND will be accepted.
