Senior Account Manager – Fuel / Oil / Lubricants Sector
Location: Surrey (Hybrid – 1 day remote per week)

This is a key opportunity for a commercially driven, client-focused professional with proven experience in the oil, lubricants, or energy industry to take ownership of major accounts, drive growth, and build long-term client partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management: Develop and nurture strong, trusted relationships with key accounts, acting as a strategic advisor and problem solver.
Strategic Account Development: Build and execute robust account plans to drive revenue growth, retention, and customer satisfaction.
New Business Expansion: Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts and target new clients within the oil and lubricants market.
Project Coordination: Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and aligned with client expectations.
Market Insight & Analysis: Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform strategic decisions and add value to clients.
Reporting & Forecasting: Deliver regular updates on account status, pipeline progress, and performance metrics to senior stakeholders.
Commercial Negotiation: Lead contract and pricing negotiations that align with company policy and profitability goals.
Customer Feedback Integration: Capture client insights to support service improvement and future development.
Candidate Requirements:
Must have proven experience within the fuel (aviation ideally), oil, lubricants, or wider energy sector in an account management or sales capacity.
Strong understanding of sector-specific commercial dynamics, client expectations, and compliance requirements.
Demonstrated success managing key accounts and driving growth in a B2B environment.
Skills & Attributes:
Outstanding interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
Highly analytical, commercially minded, and solutions-oriented.
Able to work autonomously and collaboratively across departments.
Proficient in CRM platforms and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint in particular).
Willingness to travel across the UK and Europe when needed.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline (MBA advantageous).
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar account management or commercial role within the oil or lubricants industry.
In-depth understanding of regulatory frameworks, customer compliance, and sector operations.
