Introduction
The role of the Team Leader is to be responsible for a Cleaning Team to ensure that the local cleaning operation follows guidelines and best practice, providing a good customer experience.
Role responsibilities
* In absence of the Site Manager, this role will be responsible for a designated cleaning team for the CVL toilet pods by managing and coordinating and the onsite Cleaning Operatives, producing a consistent approach and a service that meets and aims to exceed expectations.
* Provide management information by collating across data across train counts, audits and stock information to ensure TfW can make informed decisions relating to the cleaning provision.
* Coordinate operational activities of the teams by being accountable for the scheduling of the cleaning rotas and conducting audits to ensure that the sites run effectively and provide a good customer service.
* Using equipment provided, Clean designated facility areas, this includes TFWRL Train services subject to agreement. Tasks include damp wiping, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, restroom cleaning of CVL toilet pods
* Clean station platforms, including emptying bins, graffiti removal, removing pigeon excrement subject to training
* Using supplies provided, replenish and restock designated facility areas, this includes TFWRL train services subject to agreement. Tasks include replenish soap, toilet rolls.
* Carry out heavy cleansing tasks where required. This includes carpet cleaning, steam cleaning.
* Conduct daily cleaning check by visiting cleaning area, conducting spot-checks for stock and PPE to ensure the cleaning provision is compliant.
* Oversee the performance metrics of the CVL toilet pods Cleaning Team by reviewing the performance reports collated for the Supervisor to keep the team motivate and provide a best-in-class cleaning service.
* Act as a point of escalation for Cleaning Operatives where appropriate, by reviewing more serious complaints to ensure the customer experience and satisfaction in maintained.
* Manage and supervise an on-site team by regularly checking-in on the Cleaning Operatives on performance data to effectively manage the team.
* Check spending accuracy by consistently liaising the Site Manager to reduce the likelihood of errors and to ensure TfW maintain compliance and value for money.
* Coordinating timesheets by reviewing the data and liaising with Cleaning Operative to ensure TfW fairly pays its employee on time.
You'll need to have:
* Previous experience of working in a cleaning role.
* Full UK Driving License
* Ability to manage and motivate a dispersed and diverse workforce.
* Have an understanding of Health and Safety policies and procedures in the cleaning industry.
* Understanding of how to safely handle cleaning substances.
* Flexible and available to work the shifts required.
