Salary & Benefits * Salary up to £28,000 per annum * Day shift only * On-site parking * 20 days holiday plus Bank Holidays * Supportive working environment with development opportunities Key Requirements Experience: Previous experience as an operator or machine operator within a manufacturing or plant environment (typically 1–5 years). Leadership or supervisory experience is highly desirable. Technical Skills: * Experience operating machinery and equipment * Knowledge of quality control procedures * Preventative maintenance and basic troubleshooting skills * Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Soft Skills: * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Excellent problem-solving ability * High attention to detail and adaptability * Ability to work independently and as part of a team Core Responsibilities As a Lead Operator, your responsibilities will include: * Leading and Mentoring: Organising, motivating, training, and supporting the production team. * Operational Management: Planning daily production schedules, monitoring workflow, coordinating product movement, and ensuring targets are met. * Quality and Safety: Enforcing health and safety procedures, conducting safety checks, performing quality control testing, and managing waste. * Troubleshooting: Responding to alarms, resolving plant or process issues, and escalating concerns where necessary. * Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate shift logs, production records, and completing all required paperwork.
