Overview
The University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a fixed term Clinical Nurse Specialist (1.0 WTE Band 7) to cover maternity leave, with the contract finishing in August 2026. Our multidisciplinary diabetes team provides a service for children and young people aged 0-19 years, incorporating paediatric, adolescent and young adult clinics. The current service has an excellent reputation with strong clinical and patient-reported outcomes nationally. We have a large catchment across London and Southeast England where patients/families have chosen to transfer their care to us.

Responsibilities
* Provide clinical leadership and expert care for paediatric and adolescent diabetes patients as a Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist.
* Cover maternity leave on a fixed term basis; contribute to ongoing service delivery and development.
* Work autonomously and in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to improve standards of diabetes care.
Qualifications
* Paediatric Nurse with proven experience in paediatric and adolescent diabetes care.
* At least one year of experience working as a paediatric diabetes specialist nurse at Band 6 level.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work autonomously and with other professionals.
