Building Services ManagerLocation: West MidlandsSalary: £80,000 + packageEmployer Type: Tier 1 ContractorAbout the RoleWe are working on behalf of a Tier 1 contractor to appoint an experienced Building Services Manager to support the Senior Building Services Manager in the delivery of Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health (MEP) services across a portfolio of construction projects in the West Midlands.The role covers the full project lifecycle, from pre-construction design management through site delivery, commissioning, and handover, ensuring MEP works are fully coordinated, compliant, and delivered in line with the contract programme.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the delivery of MEP services across live and pre-construction projectsManage all stages of project delivery to ensure coordination and programme complianceChair and attend regular M&E progress and coordination meetingsPrepare weekly and monthly progress reportsManage temporary site services and incoming utilitiesLead and coordinate M&E design management activitiesManage M&E subcontractor site performance, quality, and progressIdentify and resolve coordination issues and construction blockersEnsure compliance with quality, safety, environmental, and legislative requirementsCoordinate third-party M&E interfaces (lifts, doors, fire systems, specialist equipment, etc.)Manage commissioning, client witness testing, and handover activitiesEnsure timely completion of O&Ms, certifications, log books, and user guidesMaintain strong client and consultant relationships throughout deliveryKnowledge, Skills & ExperienceBTEC, HNC, HND or Degree in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalentSignificant industry experience in building services or constructionExperience managing M&E design and site delivery on live projectsCandidates from a contractor, subcontractor, or consultancy backgrounds will be consideredStrong understanding of BREEAM, Part L, Building Regulations, and industry standardsKnowledge of construction phasing and programme managementStrong IT skills, particularly Excel and WordExcellent communication, organisational, and report-writing skillsAbility to work under pressure and meet tight deadlinesWhat’s on Offer£80,000 salary + packageLong-term opportunity with a Tier 1 contractorExposure to major, complex construction projects in the West MidlandsClear career progression within a structured building services team
