Paralegal | Wolverhampton | Up to £28,000
We’re looking for a proactive and detail‑orientated paralegal to join our Legal Service team here at Marston’s. You’ll be joining a small, friendly but busy team and play a crucial part in supporting the Legal and Company Secretariat functions, by ensuring that high volume, time‑critical legal documentation is prepared accurately, consistently and at pace.
For the right candidate, there’s also an opportunity to support our sustainability strategy by joining our sustainability taskforce.
This is a fantastic role for someone who has experience in a legal, compliance or risk function, thrives in a busy, dynamic environment, is confident dealing with people at all levels of seniority and has excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparation and coordination of legal documentation as part of the onboarding and off-boarding of our franchise-style pub partners, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
* Manage the administration of third party supply contracts efficiently, including the use of Docusign and the recording of key dates and diary reminders.
* Assist with company secretarial duties, including maintaining statutory registers, preparing board packs, and with support, assisting with the preparation of the Annual Report and other filings at Companies House.
* General administration to support the wider team, including processing invoices, raising purchase orders, maintain records and filing systems, booking travel and support with diary management.
What You’ll Bring
You will ideally bring one or more of the following:
* Experience in a paralegal, legal secretary or legal administrator role.
* Experience working in a compliance, governance, risk or regulated environment.
* Practical exposure to legal or compliance processes.
Essential Skills
* Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities without losing accuracy.
* Understands why everyday excellence and consistency are critical in legal and governance work and applies sound judgement.
* Excellent engagement and communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).
* Ability to work well under pressure and manage competing priorities and deadlines.
* Understands confidentiality and handles sensitive information appropriately at all times.
