Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Night Porter/Night Receptionist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent guest services, maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the premises, and ensuring a welcoming environment for all visitors. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic hospitality setting where exceptional customer service is paramount. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to assist our diverse clientele. Previous hotel experience and strong phone etiquette skills will be considered advantageous.
Duties
* Greet guests warmly and assist with their luggage or belongings as needed
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation in common areas, including hallways, lobby, and service areas
* Assist with guest requests promptly and courteously, ensuring high standards of hospitality
* Provide information about hotel facilities and local attractions to guests
* Support the front desk team with administrative tasks when required
* Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times, including health and safety regulations
* Handle incoming calls professionally, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette
* Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and guest satisfaction
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to speak multiple languages or be bilingual considered an advantage
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Friendly, approachable manner with a professional attitude towards guest service
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
* Good physical fitness, capable of lifting luggage and standing for extended periods
* Knowledge of hospitality standards and guest service best practices is desirable
