The closing date is 08 February 2026.

We are looking to appoint a full‑time Consultant Radiologist with a specialist interest in Interventional Neuroradiology within the Medical Imaging and Medical Physics Directorate of Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, based at the Royal Hallamshire and Northern General Hospitals.

Applicants across the spectrum of experience – from recent graduates to well‑established professionals – are welcome. If unable to work full‑time for personal reasons, the role can be considered on a flexible basis.

Main duties of the job

The appointee will, together with four Consultant Interventional Neuroradiology colleagues, provide neuro‑intervention services, including vetting, reporting and radiological cover for patients with neurological conditions at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital. This appointment supports the expansion of the Neurointerventional service from its current 7‑day 8 am to 8 pm model to 24 / 7 in 2026.

A wide experience in Neuroradiology is preferred. Candidates must have at least 36 months of subspecialty training and be competent in diagnostic neuroimaging and interventional endovascular techniques.

Successful candidates will work flexibly and cooperatively with the team to provide a high‑quality, comprehensive service within this teaching hospital environment and will serve under the national consultant contract.
